Marie Maurel de Maillé et Brigitte Bauer ont fait un parcours dans la mémoire, un road movie au coeur de l’âme féminine, joué avec application comme une petite musique de chambre, scandée par les rythmes de l’intuition dans la continuité de l’ouvrage « American photographs » de Walker Evans, chaque passage, chaque image répondant à un ordre interne qui convoque aussi le mystère.

Voyage en forme d’album de vie entre mère et fille, et femme en âge de créer, paysages et rêves, voyage imaginaire croisé avec le réel où la boucle se boucle dans un éternel retour, car l’histoire n’est pas linéaire mais circulaire et en ascension comme dans la spirale galaxie.

Voyage assemblé comme un opus.

« In her previous works Brigitte Bauer as a person has always stepped completely in the background. In this book she makes portraits of her infancy until the present the subject of the work.
